**Job Description:**

Responsible for the receipt, storage, delivery and shipping, and tracking of materials in a medium to large size warehouseas well as supervision of warehouse staff.**----**

**Responsibilities**

* Maintain inventory of supplies and direct work in the warehouse to maintain federal, state and university standards for storage of material, including hazardous materials. Ensure all staff properly trained and certified to handle and process materials including Hazardous material.

* Oversee the usage of SC Logic tracking software to receive materials and record acceptance times. Verify Purchase Orders in accounting system and label each package for delivery to campus. Supervise recording of each delivery and prepare data for upload into accounting system.

* Maintain communication with all stakeholders and customers. Maintain reports and make them available to interested parties.

* Manage delivery fleet and assure that deliveries are scheduled to reach campus in a timely manner. Maintain fleet of vehicles and schedule drivers accordingly.

* Supervise staff including hiring, training, developing, and managing the performance of warehouse staff.

* Adhere to budget when requisitioning supplies and authorizing overtime.

**Required Qualifications**

High School Diploma or GED. Experience supervising a receiving and distribution component of a supply chain operation as reflected by practical experience in private, public, manufacturing, commercial and/or corporate warehouse operations. Experience in management supervision, setting objectives and timelines, ensuring teamwork and cooperation, providing oversight, guidance, and coordination, stimulating productivity, and communicating in an open and effective manner. Experience and demonstrated professional knowledge of configuration and administration of a logistic computer system. Ability to perform technology needs assessment to determine changes for a supply management application and other supporting applications. Ability to set goals and manage KPIs for application towards route optimization, employee utilization, same day delivery program, and vendor delivery management. Ability to manage a project from its inception to completion within defined time constraints. Ability to use time management skills to develop action plans, assign ownership roles and measure timelines to ensure a successful outcome.

**Preferred Qualifications**

At least 4 years of experience managing a supply chain operation; receiving, storing, issuing and accounting for property in a stores warehouse unit. At least 3 years of supervisory experience.

**Driving Required**

This job requires a class "C" operator's driver license. The applicant selected must provide a current three-year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).

**Salary Range**

$41,500 + depending on qualifications

**Working Conditions**

* Standard warehouse environment. Manual dexterity required to operate vehicles under 26,000 lbs., delivery trucks, forklift, electric pallet jacks, and hand trucks.

* Pushing and pulling required. Lifting up to 50 pounds.

* Frequent exposure to adverse weather conditions and hazards such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and loud noises.

* Travel to/from university locations to inspect and supervise use of equipment.
