About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Director of Custodial Services to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will assist in managing the custodial department's operational, financial, and personnel activities. You will provide leadership and direction to ensure high standards in cleanliness and compliance, focusing on the safety and well-being of our school community. This position will also support special custodial projects, budget oversight, and departmental compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Supervision: Manage daily custodial operations, supervise staff, and coordinate activities with other departments.
  • Budget & Compliance: Assist with budgeting, ensure compliance with codes, and maintain records like maintenance logs and work orders.
  • Emergency Response: Oversee emergency notification processes and recommend actions during incidents.
  • Special Projects: Support and supervise projects (e.g., floor refinishing, high window cleaning).
  • Training & Development: Assess training needs, support staff certifications, and participate in professional development.
  • Community Relations: Foster positive morale, engage with community organizations, and uphold high service standards


Entry Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Three years of relevant experience, including at least one year in a supervisory role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Texas driver's license, with the ability to meet district vehicle liability policy requirements.
