Looking for a stable job with reliable weekday hours? This entry level position is located at the Big Spring Hospital warehouse, but Supply Services also serves patients/residents at 22 other facilities around the State, so there are opportunities for growth and movement to other parts of Texas if desired. The Warehouse Specialist I reports to the Warehouse Supervisor of Supply Services.
The Warehouse Specialist I is a key position for Supply Services with essential functions offering opportunities to gain experience related to using modern receiving software systems, warehouse equipment and logistics to assure the patients/residents we serve are supplied their needed supplies for daily living. The purpose of this position is to assure the patients/residents we serve are supplied everything they need for daily living. This is accomplished through efficient logistical, inventory and warehouse work: receiving, processing, and storing incoming stock, pulling orders from inventory, delivering goods, and maintaining a safe and secure environment.
This is a physically active position where creativity, strength and discipline are important factors to assist with the heavy physical work involved. While the focus of this position is movement of supplies, this position will also be cross trained to learn new and exciting skills including using the newest up-to-date receiving software systems, handheld devices for inventory control and warehouse equipment.
