Job Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in analysis, installation, configuration, and testing of micro/mini computer network software.
  • Experience with laptop/desktop component repair.
  • Proficient in using analysis equipment and entering keyboard commands to diagnose server, software, and hardware issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various levels of staff and external vendors/consultants.
  • Ability to communicate technical information in non-technical terms.
  • Excellent written skills for maintaining departmental records, documents, and reports.
  • Physical ability to install and repair computer peripheral equipment.
  • Valid State of Ohio driver's license.
Essential Duties
  • Install and test software on stand-alone computers.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues on endpoint computers.
  • Configure and install computer workstations.
  • Diagnose and resolve critical and non-critical hardware and software problems.
  • Provide technical assistance to end users and support analysts.
  • Respond to technology service desk trouble tickets to resolve computer problems.
  • Document steps taken to diagnose and resolve customer problems and close trouble tickets.
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain software applications and computer hardware, including peripherals.
  • Perform backup activities and restoration of files as needed.
  • Participate in testing and implementation of new systems and procedures.
  • Work with staff to integrate technology solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of hardware and software in use at assigned locations.
  • Prepare required documentation and reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
